Tired Pony es un supergrupo formado en Glasgow en 2009. Gary Lightbody (vocalista de Snow Patrol) decidió emprender el trabajo de grabación de un disco que lo aproxime al sonido alt-country. El proyecto terminó interesándole a algunos amigos músicos y productores naciendo así Tired Pony. La banda la completan: Richard Colburn (Belle & Sebastian), Iain Archer, Jacknife Lee, Peter Buck (R.E.M.), Scott McCaughey (The Minus 5) y Troy Stewart.
